真正意义上使Testament的转则要从签约Megaforce Records之后开始的，同年他们在唱片公司发布了他们第一张专辑《The Legacy》大受好评，我个人还是比较喜欢他们第二张作品，也是正式的首发版专辑《The New Order》充分证明了Testament实力体现。

乐团的主音歌手由于在02年查出癌症让所有乐迷担心了一阵子，但还好及时检查并无大碍，主唱Chuck Billy在与病魔作斗争的同时完成了他们以前录制过的歌曲重新制作了一张《First Strike Still Deadly》，在这张专辑中歌迷又可以听到久违了的Alex Skolnick的演奏。

这张新专辑《The Formation Of Damnation》虽然有着不起眼的外表，但外冷内热，乐曲动听聆人，充满激情的咆哮，朦胧般的歌词，依然是那样神经质不知所措，简短流畅的旋律同样充满口吃式的紧张感。但这些都被娴熟流畅的演绎消解掉了，留下的只有独特抑郁情结的缺憾美。（编写：留住夏季的风）。
