SolidWorks 公司发布了新版三维CAD软件 “SolidWorks 2008”。新版本除更新了用户界面外，还通过配备类似于非参数 CAD 的直观外形编辑功能，提高了可操作性。同时还增加了简单的公差分析功能和热流体分析功能。

SolidWorks 2008 基于公司突破性的 SolidWorks 智能特性技术 (SWIFT)，提供了全新直观而又快捷的用户界面 (UI) 和绚丽的 3D 图形，加速了更优秀的产品的设计过程。

新版本大幅改变了用户界面，把命令菜单汇集成了名为“命令治理器”的图标群。考虑到操作性能，将命令进行了编组，即使是初学者也能够找到所需功能的位置。

另外，为了减少鼠标的移动和点击次数，光标四周添加了汇集下一步操作所需命令图标的 “Heads Up” 半透明菜单条。Heads Up 内的菜单能够根据点击模型的位置以及上一步操作自动改变，几乎所有操作都可以通过这个菜单处理。

新版本的另一个较大特点是强化了上一版本所配备的 “SWIFT” 功能。其中之一就是增加了感觉上接近直接建模的 “Instant3D” 功能。通过该功能，只需选择线和面，通过鼠标拖拽，就能够简便地编辑外形，圆角大小也可通过拖拽，直观地进行改变。无需像以前那样选择特征，或是在草图模式和编辑模式之间切换。以 IGES、STEP 格式读取的没有特征的三维数据也可以通过 Instant3D 进行编辑。

此外，SWIFT 的尺寸自动插入功能 “DimXpert” 也得到了强化。增加了在三维模型上自动插入尺寸公差和几何公差的功能。规格符合 ASME Y14.41，利用 DimXpert 插入的尺寸和公差可供简单公差分析功能 “TolAnalyst” 使用。

为了改善可操作性，新版本还添加了在最初打开文件时不读取几何外形数据，只读取显示数据的功能。由于可以在利用显示数据观看预览后，只选择预备编辑的数据并读取几何外形，因此能够比较轻易地处理大规模装配数据。

提高了现有数据的重复利用率也是 2008 的特点之一。比如，在使用 “Design Clip Art” 功能时，只需选择已登录的部件的特征、草图，拖放到正在编辑的三维模型中，就可以利用选择的外形。用户可以通过增加部件和特征，提高现有数据和技术知识的重复利用率。

新版本还增加了用于构筑自动设计用宏程序的 “DriveWorksXpress”，以及面向简易电子仪器设计、可进行热流体分析的 “COSMOSFloXpress”。

SolidWorks 2008 的基本理念是帮助工程师设计伟大的产品，使设计师更关注产品的创新而非CAD软件。下面简单说明 SolidWorks 2008 中的一些新的功能和变化情况。

1、用户界面

·重新组织了工具兰和工具按钮、命令治理器，其目的就是最大限度地增大图形区域的可视面积。·

·设计树的显示：用户可以过滤显示特征树中的特征，例如，利用文字过滤设计树，使树中只包含具有特定文字的特征。

·快速打开最近的文件，通过一个图形界面，使用户可以最快的速度打开最近使用过的文件。

2、针对工业设计方面

SolidWorks 2008 在工业设计方面的性能进一步增强，这些功能包括 REALVIEW 显示性能、3D 草图、渲染、动画、草图工具、对犀牛4.0文件的支持、SCANTO3D 的增强，在特征方面的边界曲面、扫描等方面。

3、特征和零件方面的几个增强

·悬空/丢失几何关系的影子：影子可以显示最早的参考外形、位置、大小，以便于用户修改。

·ConerXpert：有效治理 FilletXpert 形成圆角的顶点处理情况。

·Instant3D：快速修改实体和特征。只需拖动尺寸或几何体就可以改变模型大小，利用屏幕上的尺子就可以预览特征变化的大小。

·使用实体进行扫描：可以直接在另一个实体上建立扫描切除。

·在一个零件中插入另一个零件可以自动带入零件的草图、自定义属性等项目，在零件的定位上也有很大改善。

·零件中的 DimXpert

4、装配体

装配体的公差分析功能：

·新增加的配合类型：线性耦合、路径配合、螺纹配合、轴节配合。

·基于布局草图的装配体设计：虚拟零件的应用

·带配合关系的复制零部件，在装配体中复制一个零件可以同时复制她的配合关系。

5、工程图

相信这是很多中国用户关注的功能，下面介绍的几个功能应该是用户比较感爱好的：

·可以复制图纸，而过去只能先新建图纸，然后复制视图。

·可以在 bom 中直接修改零件的自定义属性。

·筋特征在剖面视图中，可以不剖了，相信是很多人期待的功能。

·表格中的文字可以自动变小，解决了那些 bom 表中的文字比较多的情况。

6、其他

在钣金、焊接、模具、管道等方面，也有一些改善，相信这是 SolidWorks 公司听取了用户的建议后针对客户的需求改进的。
