Kara's Flowers是主唱兼吉他手亚当·李维(Adam Levine)、吉他手杰西·卡麦可(Jesse Carmichael)、贝斯手米基·麦登(Mickey Madden)以及鼓手莱恩·度赛克(Ryan Dusick)在组成Maroon 5之前，曾经共组的一个团体。当时他们是隶属于华纳唱片/Reprise唱片旗下的艺人。

这个灰姑娘般的故事早在1995年就已经开始萌芽,Adam Levine,Jesse Carmichael以及Mickey Madden是同一所高中的同学,Levine再找来他的儿时好友-Ryan Dusick,组成了Kara's Flowers这支摇滚团体,并且发行了一张专辑「The Fourth World」,专辑虽然叫好但不叫座,因此当时这几位只有17岁的大男孩决定暂时放下在乐坛发展的计划,先各自回校园完成大学学业再说.

团员们在这段休息期间并没有忘记创作,主唱Levine更在这段期间开始接触原本不熟悉的灵魂,放克与R&B音乐,因此他在创作中除了原本的摇滚与民谣元素之外,注入了更多不同的风格,这样的风格也成为Maroon 5现在曲风的雏形.后来团员们的学业告一段落后准备要重新出发,在加入了新团员吉他手James Valentine之后,Maroon 5正式成军.

这张算在商业上较为失败的作品，单看封面，确实透着稚嫩，跟现在的他们，相差悬殊啊～
