信仰，传说以及爱情故事是Visions of Atlantis的最爱。若有若无飘渺不定的虚幻之音燃起人们的幻想，同时也是这支乐队引起人们注意的主要原因。乐队成员Werner Fiedler, Thomas Caser, Christian Stani和Chris Kamper都深深地着迷于亚特兰帝斯神话，这使得乐队决定于2000年制作一张关于亚特兰帝斯神奇传说的专辑。
