这张专辑就是Julie Delpy 2003年发行的首张同名专辑《Julie Delpy》，无论是弥漫着夜总会演唱风格的A Waltz For A Night，或是散发美式清新民谣风韵的抒情小品An Ocean Apart，都让我们惊喜于这位气质女星的不凡歌艺。
这12首歌曲，风格各异，不过都带着点folk-rock的味道。Julie Delpy的声音就像夕阳的余晖一样，让所有被辐射的人都无力抵抗，有点沉但不闷，有点哑但不破。
每每听到她的声音，脑海中都会浮现出《Before Sunset》中的一幕一幕：小书店，微湿的石板路，安静的Le pure café, 鲜花簇拥阳光宜人的小道，游船，微风，看得见的夕阳，上岸的时候互道晚上好，法国peugeot，住家小院，古老狭窄的楼梯，挂着中国灯笼的房间，茶，吉它，Julie Delpy的自弹自唱，Ethan Hawke陷在沙发里一句引人浮想联翩的“I know”。
Album Description
This French actress started her career almost 20 years ago when she appeared at a very young age in the movie Detective by the legendary French director Jean-Luc Goddard. Since then she has worked with Carlos Saura, Krysztof Kieslowski and Bertrand Tavernier. This first album features 12 beautiful songs written with the collaboration of the French composer Philippe Eidel. Digipak. Pias. 2003.
The best track is "Je t'aime tant", which combines guitar, mandolin, and banjo in a chord pattern similar to the last movement of Yes' "Starship Trooper". The lyrics are sometimes weak, especially the ex-lover putdowns on "Mr. Unhappy" and "Lame Love", though the latter song makes up for the lyrics with catchy music. "My Dear Friend" is a nice soft track about losing touch with an old flame/friend, while "She Don't Care" and the second half of "Black & Gray" add some rock to the folk-rock. Delpy's voice is limited, but she uses vibrato well to make it sound richer. Only "Je t'aime tant" and part of "Time to Wake Up" are in French; the rest of the album is sung in English, which Delpy sings without a trace of a French accent. Other than "Je t'aime tant", there aren't any songs that are SO catchy you'll want to play the CD over and over, but the album is solid enough that Delpy shouldn't have to settle for "good album for an actress" backhanded compliments.
